What data we collect

Lucidpedia is a community wiki. You can browse everything without an account. Signing in with Discord lets you contribute to the wiki, save favorite recipes, and like, follow, comment on and publish mods.

From your Discord account

We use Discord's identify scope — the most limited one available. On sign-in, and periodically afterwards so it stays current, we read and store:

  • Your Discord user ID — the stable identifier for your account.
  • Your username (the @handle) and display name.
  • Your avatar.
  • Profile cosmetics: banner, accent color, avatar decoration, nameplate, your server tag and the server it belongs to, and your Discord language setting. Your banner and accent color appear on your Lucidpedia profile. The rest are kept for future profile styling and aren't shown anywhere yet.

To keep your name and avatar up to date after you rename on Discord, we store an OAuth refresh token, encrypted at rest. You can revoke it at any time in Discord under Settings → Authorizations (Authorized Apps); that immediately stops any further sync.

Our Discord bot also checks whether you're a member of the Lucidpedia server, using the Discord ID above, so we can award a community badge. In that server it also reads your roles, so it can give or remove the roles that mirror your activity here. You can switch each of those roles off on your profile, except while you are banned. The bot never reads messages.

If you share a mod on the game's Discord, our staff may publish it here for you before you have signed in. The bot then reads your public Discord profile by your Discord ID: your name, @handle, avatar and banner. The mod is published under that profile, and once it is public, a profile page here shows it with your name. Until you sign in, the privacy settings on this page can't be turned on for that profile. If you don't want the mod here, report it from its page or ask a moderator on the game's Discord. Your first sign-in makes the profile and its mods yours.

What we never touch

  • No email address — we don't request the email scope.
  • No messages, DMs, or message history.
  • No friends list, and no list of the servers you're in.
  • Nothing is ever posted, and nothing changes on your Discord account apart from the Lucidpedia server roles above.

What you create on Lucidpedia

When you contribute, we also store the things you make here:

  • Edits and images you submit, and their approval status. Since September 2026, images are stored without the metadata inside the file, such as the camera and the place a photo was taken; older uploads may still carry it.
  • An optional bio you write for your public profile.
  • Your saved favorite recipes.
  • If you turn on push notifications, a browser push subscription, so the bell's notes reach you while the site is closed.

Pronouns and a profile title are reserved as optional fields you'll be able to set yourself later. They are never read from Discord.

Mods

The mods section has its own pages: what it stores about players, such as view and download counts, likes and comments, and what it keeps from mod authors, such as uploaded packs and their VirusTotal scans.

Your controls

On your profile under Privacy you can go incognito: other people then see “Incognito” in place of your name, though moderators and your mod co-authors still see it. You can also hide your Discord username, drop off the leaderboard, hide from the activity feed, and more. To remove your account and its contributions entirely, revoke access in Discord and write to the staff on the Lucidpedia Discord server.

We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookie, and we read its results only as totals. Every request goes through Cloudflare, which delivers the site and sees your IP address. The server keeps request logs, which include IP addresses, for about two weeks to block attacks, and addresses flagged as attacks are shared with CrowdSec's community blocklist.
