Basics

A plantable seed that grows into a Living Plant when placed on solid ground. Harvesting a mature plant gives one guaranteed fruit seed and a Nut, plus a 20% chance of a second seed and smaller chances of a Revelation Nut (2%), Cache Cube (5%), or Rejuvenation Anchor (5%).

Growth

They take 30 to 50 minutes to grow. You can tell they are done growing when you see the small white pearl at the top of the fractal flower.

Obtaining

Breaking the plant before it matures still returns one fruit seed, so a misplaced planting can be undone. Also obtained from the Planter Perk (3 seeds) or as a 50% drop (up to 3) from Fruit Femme when killed. It can also be crafted; the easiest early-game way is to combine a Berry with a Stick, both of which are dropped by leaves.
